My First haul and swatch post! Today was an excellent day. I
bought some really great products and awesome prices.
Physicians Formula
My First thing I will show is a set from Physicians Formula. I bought the Plumping Lip Color Palette in Browns, the Mineral Wear, Talc-Free mineral blush in Natural Glow, and the Baked Eye shadow Matte in Baked Soufflé as a set for $7 at Ross. This was a steal considering many of Physicians Formula items are about 8-12 dollars each. I’ve never experienced much with Physicians Formula though I tried the duel Mascara in Blue.
Plumping Lip Color Palette in Browns
-I love the colors in this set of 4. The colors are neutral and
perfect for my lips. #1 goes on pretty much like my natural lip color. The palette came with a little brush and I like it a lot. It's a flatter lip brush and it allows you to be exact with the lip color. The set is
in Browns but the colors do not stick me as being “Brown”. The colors in the
palette are neutral and my first impression is good.
Mineral Wear, Talc-Free mineral blush in Natural Glow
-When I first think of a blush, I do not think of this. Though the packaging is nice and the product looks kind of promising, I was not impressed with the swatch. It showed up practically translucent. When I put the product on, it gave a little color to my cheeks. It's nice if you want to have something on your cheeks, but you wouldn't be using at night for any sort of dramatic look. But at first glance, I'm not really impressed. It comes with a little face blush brush, nothing new. I thought the bristles were to hard on the product, causing lots of loose powder. ***Later note, this product is shit. Don't buy it.***
Baked Eye shadow Matte in Baked Soufflé
-I've never used eye shadow before that was 1) Baked and 2) in the shapes of Pyramids. The colors are nice, but very neutral. They say they are Matte but there is some shine. The shapes are a little weird to use and are not my favorite way to have a product, but it looks nice. It comes with a sponge tip applicator on one end and the a sponge tip that is very small. Over all, I like this product thus far.
Stainiac lip and cheek stain in Beauty Queen
-I've never used a cheek stain before. I've never actually used much of anything on my face, cheek wise. The product is an interesting one. You can use it for a lip stain and cheek. The color comes of sheer on skin and stays for a while. I've only used this on my lips so far. I actually used it over the Plump Your Pucker lip gloss and I have to say that my lips look amazing. The color was gorgeous and the stain made it look perfect. My only complaint is that the stain doesn't smell very good. It only smells right from the tube and I guess it is a good this it doesn't have a lip gloss smell because it is used for other purposes. It smells like gel makeup I used when I was little. Not a big deal and definitely not a deal breaker.
Plump Your Pucker gloss in Tutti My Frutti
- Don't wear a lot of lip gloss. Normally it is too thick and goopy. This lip gloss is not. It has the right consistency and is not too sticky. I really love the color and it is very build-able. It says that it has Maxi-Lip, which is a plumping agent. It does plump your lips and in a very nice way. No looking like you had fail botox. It's hard to explain but it makes my lips look right. Right size with the right amount of plumpness. I would LOVE to try these in different colors. The color Tutti My Frutti is described as ripe melon and the scent is nice, almost kind of strawberry and melon.
Shady Lady eyeshadow in Jealous Jordana
-First of all, the packaging is awesome. The cheetah print is cute and it flips up to where there is a little mirror and then the actual eye shadow, magnetically closed. The color is dark, foresty green with a silvery, blue undertone. The picture makes it look black. Just from the swatches, the color is very good. You are give a good amount of product (3.4g). Overall, I'm pretty pleased with it, I don't have anything to say about the product.
Coloricon Eye Shadow Trio in 334 I'm Getting Sunburned
-All I hear on Youtube from my Beauty Gurus I follow is follow great the quality or Wet n Wild eye shadows are. Many of their shades are dupes for High End brands such as Mac and Urban Decay. With this product, when swatched, I could tell what they went my quality. With just a simple swatch the colors showed up amazingly. The texture was nice, not chalky. My complaint with this is that the eye shadows came in a little plastic holder, not an actual case. You won't be able to travel with it which I think defeats the purpose of the idea of this set. Whatever. Maybe I'll DIY a palette (I'll make a post if I do that) Overall I'm very impressed with the quality of the shadows and I plan on buying more from Wet n Wild.
Megaplump Mascara, Coloricon eyeliner in 705 Black, and Megaslick Lip Gloss 568
-Because I have these three products swatched in one picture, I'm doing a over view of all of them under one. I have limited things to saw about each. First with the Mascara, I like the packaging and the color of the product. i also am a fan of the brush, nothing special. I have not had the chance to actually use the product. With the Eyeliner, I have positive things to say about it. Firstly, I do not use eyeliner. just never have been a fan of it and it doesn't look right on my eyes.I did like the texture of the liner. It was smooth and glided on easily when I did put it on my eyes. The pigmentation was nice. I've heard Wet n Wild eyeliners be compared to NYC liner (the worst liner you would ever use. It's hard, terrible pigmentation, doesn't work AT ALL) but I like this Wet n Wild brand. And the Lip gloss. You are given a small amount, hardly even sample size (.11 g). There isn't anything special to say about the lip gloss. It is a lower end drug store lip gloss. Though the texture on the lip is pretty good, not too thick and goopy, the scent of the gloss falls as it smells like regular, cheap lip gloss. The color was nice with gold undertones and I thick it's a very wearable shade. Overall, it's ok.
This was my first haul post and I hope you found this entertaining or useful. Comments are always welcomed for suggestions or anything you want to say!

theBalm
I was excited to see theBalm in my TJ Maxx. I'd seen the products before, but in small quantities. My T J Maxx has more soaps and hair products then they do cosmetics. Little disappointing but sometimes you can score like I did. I bought the Oh So Colorful... bag that came with four products. Hot Ticked nail polish in Counterfeit ($14) , Stainiac lip and cheek stain in Beauty Queen ($17), Plump Your Pucker gloss in Tutti My Frutti ($15) , and Shady Lady eyeshadow in Jealous Jordana ($16). These are all full sized products and for $10, it was a steal. The value would have been $62 if everything was individual and the actual price of the set was at $56. The nail polish alone is worth more than what I paid. Taking advantage of stores like TJ Maxx and Ross are great ways to try products from some brands you might not be able to afford otherwise. I got to TJ Maxx just for the cosmetics to see what they have. I wouldn't have been able to try theBalm if I didn't have stores like this. I'm going to hold off my review on the nail polish till I've really gotten a chance to use it. I have put it on one nail and it looks gorgeous. I've never used nice nail polish, but now that I have, I don't think it will be easy going back to the cheapo brands I normally purchase.Stainiac lip and cheek stain in Beauty Queen

Wet n Wild
I see Wet n Wild raved about everywhere. It's been a brand that has been around for ever but in the past couple years, they have really stepped up their game. The quality of the products are said to be amazing for low end drugstore, in particular the eye shadows. The only Wet n Wild products I've used are the Mega Last nail color, which I really like. So this little set I purchased had four products sample size, all inside a little makeup bag. I really like the make up bag. It's plastic, but the kind that will hold shape. The set came with Coloricon Eye Shadow Trio in 334 I'm Getting Sunburned, Megaplump Mascara, Megaslick Lip Gloss 568, and a Coloricon eyeliner in 705 Black. Value wise, it's not like you're saving loads of money or anything. The products are sample sized if that so the kit could be more targeted to trying out Wet n Wild. I paid $4 for the set, which isn't too bad. The original price was $8 which is a total ripe off (for reason I will mention with each product.)Coloricon Eye Shadow Trio in 334 I'm Getting Sunburned
